BEST DSLR and MIRRORLESS CAMERAS under 100000 in 2021.
Let's discuss between Rs.50,000 and Rs.1,00,000 whatever are the best available DSLR or mirrorless cameras and we will also try to clear the confusions between 2 variants in a series. Starting with the comparison, we will talk about the crop sensor bodies only. Mid range cameras which come above entry level cameras.
We are much familiar with Canon, Nikon and Sony brands. So, the comparisons will be between the cameras of these brands only! We will talk about recent BEST DSLR and MIRRORLESS Cameras under 100000 in 2021 cameras which are released within last 3-4 years.
There was a time when photography was given a lot of value. People did not have patience to make videos. Ever since people started sharing videos on YouTube, cinematography came, hand held gimbals came into the market, short film came, people started showing interest in such videos.
Also, we started making amazing quality videos including in 4K in our mobile. There were a lot of people who started making videos and saving their amazing memories. This has made camera manufacturers think about video and vlogging while making a DSLR or MIRRORLESS Camera under 100000.
BEST CANON DSLR CAMERAS under 100000 in 2021
Canon 70D is an exception camera that was released in 2013. Canon in this camera, for the first time included dual pixel auto focus technology which was revolutionary those days. This camera somehow became a default camera for video in mid range DSLRs. Its a so many years since 2013, it does not make sense that we consider the same camera. We will be considering though the upgraded versions of the camera Canon 77D and Canon 80D and we will try to see whats the difference between these two.I have considered the price after including the kit lens 18-55. The price references are from the e-commerce websites. So, Canon 77D with kit lens its approximately Rs.60,000 and Canon 80D with kit lens, we get for approximately for Rs.75,000. It was released in 2016 and Canon 77D was released in year later in 2017, but this cannot be an updated version of Canon 80D. The specifications of these cameras are pretty different. Canon 80D is bigger camera heavy and robust.
If you plan to use big lens and do professional photography and videos there is a possibility that Canon 80D is good for you. Canon 80D's battery is very powerful that are used in high end cameras as well. Also, imagine you are making a short film, the one sitting behind the camera the person would want to hear the conversation happening between the actors using a headphone. So, a headphone jack has been provided in Canon 80D. No, we are becoming clearer why Canon 80D has been used and is one of the BEST DSLR and MIRRORLESS Cameras under 100000 in 2021.
Coming to Canon 77D, its a small camera, light weight good for vlogging, cheaper than Canon 80D. There is a difference of 10-15K. There is a digital image stabilizer, inbuilt. Obviously, digital image stabilizer will not be as good as the optical image stabilizer in order to stabilize, it may crop your video while doing editing, the time consumed by trying to stabilize the video can be reduced by the camera by doing the same for you. But definitely, this is also an important feature for sure.
If you are a traveller , want to take photos, make videos and if you want a light weight camera which is easy for transportation also, then, definitely it is Canon 77D one of the BEST DSLR and MIRRORLESS CAMERAS under 100000 in 2021.
BEST NIKON DSLR CAMERAS under 100000 in 2021
Lets go to Nikon. There are 2 BEST DSLR CAMERAS under 100000 in 2021 from Nikon here - D7200 and D7500.Nikon D7200 makes good photos and the good thing is this camera which was released in 2015 we have got 2 card slots but the upgraded version which is Nikon D7500, released in 2017 it has only 1 card slot. Professionals do expect that there are 2 card slots because all of a sudden when the cards get full, you will not like to take a break in between assignment to change cards. It doesn't look professional, you can miss good moments during weddings.
The lens that will be combined with these Nikon cameras to make a combo are not 18-55 lens, they are slightly in higher range Nikon D7200 is combined with 18-140mm and Nikon's D7500 is combined with 18-105mm. The approximate value of Nikon D7200 is Rs.66,000 and Nikon D7500 price is Rs.82000 which is close to 20K additional. But , the additional 20K will give you a lot of additional features. Nikon D7500 has touch screen which has become a necessary feature for today, it as 4K resolution and flip screen as well and like in Canon 77D , even this has digital Image stabilisation. Now you need to decide to go with more features for extra 20K or save the 20K for additional lenses.
BEST SONY MIRRORLESS CAMERAS under 100000 in 2021
Now we will move from Nikon to Sony which has given some nice mirrorless options for us to choose in the BEST DSLR and MIRRORLESS Cameras under 100000 in 2021.
Sony A6000 was a good camera but we will not discuss about it. Sony cameras which I am going to discuss usually come with a kit lens 16-50mm. Firstly we will talk about Sony A6300 which is released in 2016 and is the cheaper among the Sony series I am going to talk about. Along with kit lens 16-50mm the price is Rs.60,000.
The newest version of it which is Sony A6400 which is now available in Indian market. In 2016, a few months after the release of Sony A6300, another camera was released Sony A6500. There is a huge difference in price range of Sony A6300 and Sony A6500 we will see if the difference is worth it.
Sony A6500 with kit lens will be way above 90K. So, it will be close to our 1Lakh border So, what do we get in this?
We get 5 axis in-built Optical image stabilisation (OIS). OIS is the real image stabilisation which is much better than the digital image stabilisation but the one in Sony A6500 people have not appreciated so much.
Specification perspective, this may be a great add-on but for the price difference , it may not be value for money. Touch screen is available for Sony A6500 even the touch screen has been criticised.
So, the 2 major add-ons from Sony A6300 to Sony A6500 are Optical IS and Touch screen but with average reviews from the users after this, the one released in 2019 Sony A6400, I am not sure if it is available everywhere in Indian market but a lot of international photographers have done hands-on on this body and a lot of them have given positive review and the price is lesser than Sony A6500.
It is around 75K. What features will you get in this price-
An attractive feature is flip screen - there is slight criticism on this one as it is not completely articulating but this will be enough to be of help for vlogging. One of the major enhancement of Sony A6400 is its autofocus system. For me it is very very important for the BEST DSLR and MIRRORLESS CAMERAS under 100000 in 2021.
Then, why is Sony A6500's price more than Sony A6400? There should be some difference right?
Sony A6400 lacks inbuilt image stabilisation. Technically ,we could feel image stabilisation should have been included. But when we see this practically with Sony A6500, Sony A6500's IS had never received that great appreciation for that feature. If we look that way, Sony A6400 is not loosing anything.
So, if we compare A6300, A6500 and A6400, somehow , I feel buying Sony A6500 now is not good because if you only want to click photos, you are getting it at a very cheaper cost. So, instead of paying 30K extra and buying Sony A6500, you can go for Sony A6400. I think Sony A6400 will justify the price.
So, we realised that every camera has its speciality. When we see here, based on the prices of the cameras, we are getting Sony A6300 with 16-50mm for 60K and for a similar price we are getting Canon 77D with 18-55mm. We need not be confused about these. We can consider A6300 for photography and 77D for video.
Then, between 60K and 70K, there is Nikon D7200 which comes along with 18-140mm. When we compare it with Nikon D7500 which is in between 80 and 90K then D7500 has a lot many new features along with a gap in price. So, you need to see if you actually need those features. If you dont need, then D7200, if you need then D7500.
Between 70K and 80K, we have 80D, which i said was a little robust. If you are going to deal with large professional lenses then you can use this.
Towards 90K, there is A6400, I feel this could be the best in the Sony A6000 series under Rs.1,00,000. Here, the most expensive is Sony A6500 which comes with 16-50mm. If you feel the features of A6500 are worth it, go ahead. But I personally feel, instead of buying this camera on this day, go for A6400.
There is a possibility that I may not have covered all the cameras under 100000 but i have included all those BEST DSLR and MIRRORLESS CAMERAS under 100000 in 2021 where people have been curious about and I have also considered the models which are actually famous between 50K and 1Lakh.

Comparison
If we compare A6300 vs A6500 vs A6400 then Sony A6400's auto focus system will be the best, not just that there were some criticisms on Sony A6500 which is again enhanced in Sony A6400 that there is an option of time lapse but I don't know how important it is for people around but yes, some people like it.Then, why is Sony A6500's price more than Sony A6400? There should be some difference right?
